A little bit about Quinn:
Quinn Bradlee is a 26 year old with learning disabilities which resulted from health problems affecting his appearance, voice, his ability to learn and his social functioning. Because of those problems, at a very young age he had to endure the frustration of people not understanding him when he spoke, and noticing that he looked “different.” He also knows what it is like to have health issues that keep a person in the hospital for long periods of time, the result of multiple surgeries. With help, Quinn was able to overcome these challenges and went on to attend Landmark College, American University and the New York Film Academy. He has also made a series of short documentary films, and has recently published a memoir, a different life…growing up learning disabled and other adventures.
Quinn’s mission, as a young adult, is to encourage others who have disabilities or challenges. He does this through his website, his book, and his film and TV appearances.
In this new MarshMedia program, You Are Not Alone, Quinn expands and reaches out for the first time to younger students with words of support and encouragement.
Because he has walked along the same paths, at least partway, that many children with special needs have, Quinn Bradlee is an inspiring role model for our students.
