Puberty Education for Students
with Special Needs

The program that grows with your students!

Help address sexuality education, with focus on:

  • Facts, data and information
  • Feelings
  • Responsibility
  • Skills to communicate effectively and to make responsible decisions

Like all children, students with developmental disabilities grow into adolescence with physically maturing bodies and a host of emerging social and sexual feelings and needs. Before these changes begin it is important to provide factual information in a positive and constructive way that is both clear and developmentally appropriate.

These programs are appropriate for children with mild to moderate disabilities, as well as those who are early developers. They following special populations will find these reassuring titles comprehensible, practical and positive:

Students with:

  • Developmental disabilities or delays
  • Intrusive behavior or mental illness
  • Down Syndrome
  • Autism Spectrum Disorder, including Asperger’s Syndrome
  • Learning disabilities
  • Behavioral disabilities
  • Communicative disorders

A concise five-chapter format throughout each of the kits' components reinforces information and skills, allows for convenient instructional breaks, and introduces and develops the following topics:

  • External anatomy
  • Physical and emotional changes of puberty
  • Health
  • Hygiene
  • Privacy and safety
